Word of the Father · Day 4/366
Renewed Like the Eagle
“But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.”
Isaiah 40:31
Your body is tired. I know — the sleepless nights, the pain that won't let up, the energy that seems to have gotten lost somewhere along the way. You blame yourself for no longer keeping up the pace you used to, as if growing older or getting sick were some personal failure of yours, instead of simply part of life.
But listen closely: renewing your strength isn't about pushing yourself harder until you collapse. It's about waiting on me. Waiting is different from chasing after something without stopping — it's staying still, breathing deep, letting me refill what has emptied out inside you. The eagle doesn't beat its wings the whole time trying to climb by its own effort; it finds the right current of wind and lets itself be carried, almost effortlessly.
Today I'm not asking you to be strong on your own. I'm asking you to wait on me and receive strength that is borrowed, renewed, not originally yours. Let's go slowly, one step at a time, and I will carry whatever weight is left over from your day.
