Word of the Father · Day 320/366

Waiting for the One Who Hasn't Arrived Yet

Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.

Jeremiah 1:5

Every month that passes without the second line, every attempt that didn't work out, hurts in a way only someone who's waiting can understand. You've lost count of how many times you've cried hidden away in the bathroom, between one hope and the next disappointment.

I want you to know: even this son, this daughter you haven't held in your arms yet, I already know. Your timing isn't my timing, but that doesn't mean absence — it means I'm weaving a story you can't see in full yet, whether through pregnancy, through adoption, or through a path that has yet to be revealed.

I won't promise you a date. I promise that your waiting is not ignored or forgotten by me. Keep caring for your heart while you wait, because the hope I give isn't anxiety disguised as faith — it's quiet confidence that I know every detail of this story, including the ones still to come.
