Word of the Father · Day 364/366

Faithful Even Under Pressure

Be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life.

Revelation 2:10

My son, my daughter, there are pressures in your life pushing you to give in on a value, a truth, a stance you know is right. It might be at work, where integrity costs you a promotion; it might be in a friendship, where honesty costs you approval. Being faithful under pressure is different from being faithful when everything is easy and costs nothing.

This word I gave to the church in Smyrna, in the midst of real persecution, speaks to you today too, even if your pressure looks different. Faithfulness that's never tested never proves itself truly strong. It's precisely when giving in would seem like the smarter move that your standing firm in the truth shows what really matters to you.

Don't give in to the pressure asking you to betray what you know is right. I see every moment you resist, even alone, even afraid of the cost. The crown of life I promise isn't for those who were never pressured, but for those who, even under pressure, remained faithful.
