Word of the Father · Day 362/366
Watching While I Wait
“Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour.”
1 Peter 5:8
My son, my daughter, waiting for my return, or simply living faithfully day after day until the end of your life, requires a watchfulness that grows tiring if you think of it as constant fear. But I didn't ask you to live afraid; I asked you to live awake, alert, sober about the things that try to pull you away from me little by little.
Distractions don't arrive shouting; they arrive slowly, a habit here, a misplaced priority there, until without realizing it you've drifted from what truly matters. Watching means keeping an eye on what feeds your faith and what drains it, not relaxing so much that you forget who you're living this whole story for.
Keep watching, but with peace, not panic. I am in control of everything, including however much time remains until all things are fulfilled. Persevere, attentive, faithful in the small daily choices, and let me take care of the rest that hasn't been revealed yet.
