Word of the Father · Day 284/366
Content in a Body That's Aging
“For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day.”
2 Corinthians 4:16
I know the mirror has been showing you things that bother you: the new wrinkle, the graying hair, the ache that wasn't there before, the body that doesn't respond like it used to. And along with that comes a sadness that whispers your best days are already behind you.
But I want to tell you a secret Paul already knew: while the outward man wastes away, your inward man is renewed every day. Gratitude for the body you have today, just as it is, with its marks and its limits, isn't resignation — it's the wisdom of someone who has understood that the value of life doesn't lie only in appearance.
Give thanks for the body that still carries you, that still works, that still embraces the ones you love, even with time's marks upon it. And trust that the part of you that matters most — your soul — is being renewed by me every day, even when the mirror doesn't show it.
