Word of the Father · Day 281/366

Grateful for the Family God Gave

Like as a father pitieth his children, so the LORD pitieth them that fear him.

Psalm 103:13

Today I want to remind you of your family, the one that sometimes wears you out, irritates you, disappoints you — and even so is the one I chose to give you. No one has a perfect family. Even the closest-knit ones have their days of heavy silence, of words that wounded, of a way of loving that doesn't match your own.

But look closely: behind every human imperfection, there is a Father who has compassion on His children just as I have compassion on you. Every act of care someone showed you, every embrace that welcomed you in a hard season, came from me, even if that person never knew it.

Be grateful for the family you have, not for the perfect family you imagined. And if your family story hurts, let me be the Father who fills in what was missing. Gratitude and healing can walk together — one does not cancel out the other.
