Word of the Father · Day 273/366
Reconciliation Is a Journey, Not an Event
“I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.”
Philippians 3:14
My son, my daughter, maybe you expected reconciliation to happen in a single conversation, one hug that fixes everything at once, like in the movies. But real life is usually different: it's a process, with steps forward and steps back, with days when everything feels fine and others when the old hurt comes knocking again.
That doesn't mean forgiveness has failed. It means it's a road, not a destination you arrive at all at once. Every hard conversation, every attempt to draw close again, every moment you choose not to reopen the old fight, is a step on that journey, even when it feels too small to count.
I don't give up on you on the days your faith wavers, and I don't want you to give up on a reconciliation just because it isn't happening at the pace you expected. Keep going. One step at a time is enough. I walk beside you through every stage, even the slowest and hardest ones.
