Word of the Father · Day 263/366

When the Injustice Was Never Made Right

Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.

Romans 12:19

I know the injustice you carry, the one where you were right and were never acknowledged, where someone wronged you and walked away unpunished, smiling, going on with life as if nothing had happened. It burns in a different way, because it feels like the scale will never balance out.

My son, my daughter, I'm not asking you to pretend that was fair. It wasn't. I'm asking you to take out of your own hands the weight of making it right, because that's not a task meant for you to carry. It's mine. I see what human eyes cannot see, and I repay what the courts of this world will never fully settle.

Letting go of vengeance doesn't mean the injustice stopped existing. It means trusting that I am just enough to deal with it, in a time and a way that only I know. Rest from that burden today. It was never yours to carry.
