Word of the Father · Day 267/366
When the Lie Is Discovered
“Wherefore putting away lying, speak every man truth with his neighbour.”
Ephesians 4:25
I know the blow it was to discover the lie, that feeling that the ground you were standing on wasn't as solid as it seemed. Maybe it was a financial betrayal, a secret hidden for years, a version of the truth you only now understand was never complete. Broken trust hurts in a way that goes beyond the lie itself.
My son, my daughter, I hate lying, because it distorts reality and hurts those who trusted. But I also know that whoever lies is often trapped by a fear so great of being rejected that they choose the wrong path to protect themselves. That doesn't justify it, but it helps you understand that behind every lie there is someone broken.
Forgiveness here doesn't mean pretending trust is intact as before. It means making room to rebuild slowly, with truth now, step by step, without rushing to go back to what it was before, no matter what. I walk with you through this rebuilding, bringing discernment to know what is safe and what still needs time.
