Word of the Father · Day 275/366

Grateful With a Tight Table

Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

Philippians 4:6

I know how tight this month has been. I know about the bill that came due before your paycheck landed, about the cart you trimmed down at checkout. And even so I'm calling you to give thanks — not because there's no reason to worry, but because gratitude changes the place from which you look at the problem.

Giving thanks in the pinch isn't pretending everything's fine. It's bringing to Me, in prayer, what weighs on you, while also remembering what I've already resolved before. I'm not asking you to fake joy. I'm asking you to let go of control and hand Me the bill, the month, the fear.

Today, before you ask for more, stop and thank Me for what you already have: the roof, the plate, the health to get up in the morning. That gratitude won't pay off the debt by itself, but it opens space for My peace to enter where only anxiety used to fit.
