Grateful for Today's Fresh Start
“It is of the LORD's mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.”
Lamentations 3:22-23
My son, my daughter, if yesterday was a day of failure, of relapse, of a word you regretted saying, I want you to know: today is a new day of mercy. My mercies never fail, they are new every morning, like the sun that rises without asking permission from your track record.
Many people live trapped by yesterday's failure and forget that I offer a fresh start every day. You don't have to wait for the year to turn, for the month to begin, for Monday to arrive. This very moment is already fresh start enough, because my faithfulness doesn't depend on your calendar.
Be grateful today not because yesterday was perfect, but because today I'm giving you another chance. Rise, breathe, and walk like someone starting over — because, with me, you always can.
