Word of the Father · Day 88/366
In Whose Eyes Are You Living?
“For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ.”
Galatians 1:10
You rewrote that message five times before sending it. You changed your outfit three times before leaving the house. You rehearsed your answer in your head, thinking about how people would react. Living to please everyone is a never-ending job, and it never pays what it promises.
My son, my daughter, you will never manage to please everyone, no matter how hard you try. There will always be someone unhappy, some criticism, some comment. As long as your peace depends on other people's opinions, it will sway with every wind that blows.
I invite you to live before me before you live before people. What I think of you is more stable than any human judgment, because I see your heart, not just your appearance or your performance. Live free today, seeking my gaze on you first. Live free today, knowing that my gaze on you is already enough to sustain you.
