While the Answer Hasn't Come Yet

You've already sent the message, already made the request, already turned in the résumé, already waited for the call — and now all that's left is to wait. That silent waiting, with no set date to end, has a way of wearing down your patience and feeding a thousand scenarios in your head.

My son, my daughter, waiting on me is not the same as waiting into the void. When you wait on the Lord, there is someone on the other side of the silence, working on details you cannot yet see. The time of waiting is not wasted time — it is time in which I am also moving.

Take courage while the answer hasn't come. Be strengthened, not because the wait grew shorter, but because I promised to be with you through all of it.
