My Care for Those You Love
“Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.”
Psalm 37:5
The fever won't break, the test results are taking forever, and you stay there beside the bed, feeling a helplessness that no other pain compares to. Watching a child suffer, even something simple, touches the deepest fibers of anyone who loves.
My son, my daughter, I am a Father too, and I know this kind of vigil. I am not far from the room where your child is lying. I know every cell of that little body, long before any test reveals what's going on.
Entrust this path to me — the path of healing, of treatment, of next steps. You do your part: you take them to the doctor, you care for them tenderly, but the final outcome rests in my hands, which are more careful than yours. I do not abandon a child who is precious in my eyes, and a father's or mother's worry does not go unnoticed by me either.
