Word of the Father · Day 87/366

Changing Again, Trusting Again

And, behold, I am with thee, and will keep thee in all places whither thou goest.

Genesis 28:15

Moving to a new city, starting a new job, leaving behind familiar routines and faces — all of it shakes anyone's sense of security. Unknown territory, even when chosen with hope, also carries a heavy dose of anxiety.

My son, my daughter, I told Jacob, when he set out alone and afraid into a strange land, that I would be with him and keep him wherever he went. That promise wasn't just for him. I don't let go of your hand when you cross borders, when you move to a new home, or when life calls for a fresh start.

The new place doesn't have your mark on it yet, your friendships, your routine — but it already has my presence waiting for you there. You are not heading into the unknown alone. I am already there, preparing the way before you even arrive.
