Knocking Again, Even When Tired
“Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.”
Revelation 3:20
I know what it's like to knock on a door many times and not hear an answer right away. You've felt this with Me before: you prayed, waited, knocked again, and the silence continued on the other side. I need to tell you: silence is not absence. Sometimes I'm already on My way to the door — it's just that the path to it is longer than you'd like it to be.
But I also want to remind you of something that turns the story inside out: sometimes it's Me knocking at your door, waiting for you to open it. I don't push, I don't force it open — I knock and wait, respecting your timing, but never giving up on you. Knocking persistently doesn't change who I am, because I've wanted to find you from the very first moment. What changes is who you become by continuing to try: someone with deeper faith, more practiced at trusting even without seeing yet.
Today, if you're tired of knocking on the same door, I give you courage to knock once more. And if it's you who hears a knock from Me on your heart, don't ignore it. Open. I want to come in and sit at the table with you.
