Seeking Like Someone Searching for What's Essential
“For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.”
Matthew 7:8
I've watched you searching for your house keys in a rush, turning your bag inside out, digging through your pockets, not stopping until you found them. That's how you search for the things that really matter to your routine — without giving up until you find them. I ask you today: do you seek Me with that same urgency, or have I become just another item on the list, looked for only when there's time left over at the end of the day?
Seeking Me isn't mulling over theories about religion or memorizing pretty explanations. It's coming with an open heart, asking, listening, coming back as many times as it takes until you feel you've truly found. I don't hide from those who seek Me sincerely. I show up in the reading of a verse that seemed written just for you, in a friend's advice at just the right moment, in an unexpected silence that suddenly brings peace where there was only agitation.
Today, seek Me like someone who knows they've lost something precious and won't rest until they find it. I promise: whoever seeks Me like that, with that kind of hunger, finds — maybe not in the way they imagined, but they find.
