Word of the Father · Day 156/366
A real Father, not a facade
“After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.”
Matthew 6:9
Come here, my child. Before any request, I want you to understand one word: Father. Not a boss demanding results, not a judge waiting for a mistake, not a distant God sitting too far away to care. Father. The one who waits at the door, who keeps a place set at the table, who doesn't give up even when the child is slow to come home.
I know the word 'father' can hurt some of you. Maybe your earthly father failed, walked away, wounded more than he cared for. I am not a repeat of him. I am the Father you've always needed and maybe never had: present, faithful, who doesn't change moods, who loves without expecting anything back.
When you pray 'Our Father,' you're remembering who I truly am to you. Don't start by asking. Start by acknowledging: I have a Father. And that Father is here, right now, with you.
