Word of the Father · Day 227/366
Leave the Land You Know
“Now the LORD had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father's house, unto a land that I will shew thee:”
Genesis 12:1
Abraham didn't receive a map before he left. He received only a command: go, and I will show you afterward. That must have been agonizing — leaving behind everything familiar, the security of the land, the family, the home, to follow a promise that had no shape yet at all.
I know you're standing at that kind of crossroads right now. Maybe it's a job you need to leave, a city, a relationship, an old way of living that no longer fits what I want to do in you. And the fear of leaving the known for the uncertain is real — I won't pretend it isn't.
But I promise you the same thing I promised Abraham: I show the way as you walk, not before. The faith to leave isn't about being certain of the destination. It's about trusting the one who is calling. I am calling you. Will you go?
