Word of the Father · Day 222/366

After the Fall, a Fresh Start

For a just man falleth seven times, and riseth up again: but the wicked shall fall into mischief.

Proverbs 24:16

I know about the project that didn't work out. About the job loss that hurt more than you admitted to anyone. About the business that failed after so much effort. And I also know about the voice that has been hammering inside you ever since: you're not cut out for this, it was foolish to try, give up.

That voice does not come from me. I do not measure the righteous by how many times they fall, but by how many times they get back up. Seven times, my word says — a way of saying always, again and again, without limit. Falling is not the end of your story with the purpose I have for you. It's only a part of it.

Get up today, even if your legs are shaking. It doesn't need to be with the same strength as before. It just needs to be with the decision to keep going. I am here, right where you fell, waiting to take your hand.
