Waiting Without Settling
“Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD.”
Psalm 27:14
I know waiting hurts. You have already prayed, already prepared, already knocked on several doors, and time keeps passing without the answer you were hoping for. On days like this, it's easy to slip toward one of two extremes: giving up on waiting and acting on impulse, or waiting flat on your back, doing nothing else, thinking that waiting means the same thing as stopping.
But that's not the kind of waiting I ask for. It's the waiting of someone who keeps preparing, keeps serving, keeps tending to what is already in their hands, while trusting that I am working behind the scenes. It is not passivity. It is trust in motion.
Take heart today. I have not forgotten your waiting, and the time that seems wasted is being used by me to shape you for what's coming. Wait, but wait while doing the good that is within your reach right now.
