Word of the Father · Day 212/366

The New City Without Pain

And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.

Revelation 21:1

My son, my daughter, I know that here, on this earth, pain sometimes seems to have no end in sight, a cycle that repeats itself. Wars inside the home, sick bodies, broken hearts, goodbyes that never should have come so soon. All of this grieves me deeply too — don't think I watch from a distance without caring.

But I have already prepared something else, something far greater: a new heaven, a new earth, where everything that hurts today simply ceases to exist forever. This is not a fairy tale to help you endure suffering in silence until the end. It is a real, concrete promise, one I signed with my own word.

While that day has not yet arrived in its fullness, I bring little pieces of that new city into your life today: moments of genuine peace, of real healing, of possible new beginnings. They are samples of what is already stored up, waiting for you. The pain of now has an expiration date; the new city does not.
