Word of the Father · Day 202/366
Stop Comparing Yourself
“For thou hast possessed my reins: thou hast covered me in my mother's womb.”
Psalm 139:13
I noticed how much time you spend looking at other people's lives and feeling, deep down, that your own life isn't enough just as it is. Someone else's house, body, family, or money always seems better than what you have today. That has been wearing down your heart far more than you realize day to day.
I knit you together in your mother's womb with such careful detail that no comparison can erase or diminish it. You are not a poorly made copy of anyone else out there. You are original, thought through carefully, formed by me for a very specific purpose. Someone else's life was never the standard you need to reach to matter.
Today I want to give you back the right to look inward, instead of constantly looking sideways. Your story has its own worth, even if it doesn't resemble any other story at all. I don't make mistakes when I form someone with my own hands, and I didn't make a mistake when I formed you.
