Word of the Father · Day 196/366

The Guilt That Won't Leave

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

1 John 1:9

I saw you dwelling on it again, at night, when the silence leaves the mind too free to accuse, to relive every detail of the mistake. You've already asked for forgiveness, already tried to fix what could be fixed, and still the guilt insists on living inside your chest as if it had paid rent there for years.

Listen carefully to what I'm about to tell you: I already forgave, a long time ago. When you brought it to me for real, with sincerity, I was faithful and just, and I purified what needed to be purified completely. The problem isn't my memory — it's yours, which keeps insisting on revisiting what I already filed away. You keep reopening an account I already settled long ago.

Today I want to set you free from that inner accusation that won't stop. It was never about deserving it, never was. It's about accepting a forgiveness that is already signed, delivered, complete, with no fine print. Set that weight down now. It's no longer yours to carry alone.
