Word of the Father · Day 118/366
Standing Firm on the Ground You've Walked
“Every place that the sole of your foot shall tread upon, that have I given unto you, as I said unto Moses.”
Joshua 1:3
Today I want to remind you to look at the ground you've already walked, not only at how much is still left to walk before the destination you imagine. Sometimes the weariness comes precisely from measuring life only by the distance still remaining, forgetting completely how far you've already come to get here, today, still standing.
I told Joshua that every place touched by the sole of his foot was already given, already a guaranteed victory, even before the battle was over. That means every step of faith you've already taken, every difficulty you've already overcome in the past, every hard day you've made it through without giving up, is already yours, already a real victory, and can no longer be taken from you by anyone.
Look back for a moment, not to stay stuck there, reliving what has passed, but to remember your own strength already proven in other battles. You have already walked through hard places before and remained standing until now. That counts for far more than what today's weariness is trying to tell you.
