Word of the Father · Day 120/366
A Living Word in Your Mouth
“This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein.”
Joshua 1:8
I notice that, on the busiest days, the first thing you set aside is me — my Word gets pushed to later, to whenever there's time left over between one obligation and another, and that time almost never really shows up by the end of the day. And then you wonder why you feel so lost, so unsure in the middle of so many decisions, big and small.
I told Joshua not to let the book of the law depart from his mouth, meditating on it day and night, before any battle, before any important decision he needed to make. It wasn't just religion performed out of duty — it was the source from which he would draw clarity to decide, courage to face the unknown, strength to keep going when everything seemed impossible.
Come back to my Word today, even if it's just one verse, read slowly, with no rush to finish quickly. It isn't one more task to add to your already exhausting list — it is the exact place where I restore what the day takes from you, renewing you from within.
