Word of the Father · Day 126/366

A Love That Never Tires of Me

Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee.

Jeremiah 31:3

I notice when you get tired of yourself. Of the same mistakes, the same broken promises to yourself, the feeling of always being one step behind the person you'd like to be. You grow tired of you — but I want to tell you something today: I don't.

My love for you doesn't have an expiration date, and it doesn't depend on how your week went. It's not a love I feel more on your good days and less on your bad ones. It's eternal, and eternal love isn't measured in performance — it's measured in faithfulness, my faithfulness to you, not yours to me.

So when you grow tired of yourself, remember: I'm not counting your stumbles to decide whether you're still worth loving. I already decided, before you were born, that you're worth it. And that decision doesn't change with your bad day.
