Word of the Father · Day 66/366
Too Much Work, Too Little Peace
“Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.”
Matthew 11:28
The schedule is packed again. Meeting after meeting, deadline after deadline, and you can barely breathe between one task and the next. You get home and your body is there, but your mind is still working through what's left undone.
I didn't make you to live in a constant rush. I made you to work, yes, but also to rest, to breathe, to sit with me in silence every now and then. The world will keep demanding productivity, but I don't measure your worth by how much you deliver.
Come to me with that tiredness, not only at the end of the day, but right now. I want to lift the weight the rush has placed on your shoulders. Maybe the first step is simply to stop for a minute and breathe with me before going back to the list. Let me carry with you what's still left to do, one step at a time.
