My Care for Your Children
“Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.”
1 Peter 5:7
I know what it's like to look at the crib, at the empty room after he's left for school, at the phone with no reply while she's out with friends, and feel your chest tighten. A parent's love carries a kind of vigil no one teaches you how to switch off.
But listen, my son, my daughter: I loved that child of yours long before you did. I formed him, I know every step he will take, every choice he will make, and none of them catches me by surprise. You can pray and act with wisdom, but you don't have to stand watch alone, as if everything depended only on your control.
Cast on me this specific anxiety you carry today for your child. I care for him with a love even greater than yours, and that love never rests. I see every detail of his situation with a care no human parent could reach alone.
