Word of the Father · Day 68/366
While the Results Aren't In Yet
“Preserve me, O God: for in thee do I put my trust.”
Psalm 16:1
I know the phone is nearby all day, waiting for the doctor's call, the test result, the news that will define the next steps. That kind of waiting has its own way of stealing anyone's sleep and peace.
My son, my daughter, I don't promise that every piece of news will be what you hope for. But I do promise that, whatever the result, I will be there with you to get through whatever comes. You won't receive that news alone, even if you're sitting alone in the waiting room.
While the time hasn't come yet, come take refuge in me. You don't have to pretend everything is fine, and you don't have to fake a faith that feels small today. Just come, just as you are, and let me be your hiding place in this waiting. I am already there, on the day the news finally arrives, preparing the next step.
