Word of the Father · Day 244/366
It's Never Too Late to Start Over
“Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it?”
Isaiah 43:18-19
You think you're past the age for it. That the opportunities all went to the people who started earlier, and that now, with the years you've already lived, all that's left is to settle for what already is. I want to tell you, with all the love I have for you: that is not my story for your life.
Sarah had a son in her old age. Moses began his greatest mission at eighty. I don't look at the calendar the way you do. I look at a willing heart, and that I can use at any age, in any season, after any fresh start that looks too late to human eyes.
Don't cling to the things of the past — not the good ones, which stir up longing, nor the bad ones, which stir up shame. I am doing a new thing, and it can spring forth in your life today, no matter how many birthdays you've already blown out. There is still time.
