Word of the Father · Day 242/366
A Blessing That Crosses Generations
“I am the God of Abraham thy father: fear not, for I am with thee, and will bless thee, and multiply thy seed for my servant Abraham's sake.”
Genesis 26:24
The purpose I place in a life rarely stops there. Abraham obeyed, and the blessing reached Isaac, who never had to prove everything all over again on his own — because I had already said: I am with you for your father's sake. What you live out faithfully today can become an inheritance for those who come after you.
Sometimes you look at today's effort and think it only matters for you, for this generation, for this moment. But I see further. The faith you hold firm in front of your child, the honesty you practice in front of those who are watching, the faithfulness in hard days — all of it plants a seed that will bloom in generations you may never even meet.
Live out your purpose today thinking of those who come after you too. You could be the answer to a prayer prayed by someone who hasn't even been born yet.
