Word of the Father · Day 241/366

Light in Your Workplace

Ye are the salt of the earth.

Matthew 5:13

I know the place where you work isn't always easy. There's gossip, there's competition, there are people willing to step on whoever they need to in order to get ahead. And in the middle of it, you wonder if it's worth it to keep being honest, kind, different — when it seems like no one else is playing by those rules.

I didn't put you in that place by accident. I need salt where the food has lost its flavor, light where the room has gone dark. If everyone around you were already like me, I wouldn't need you specifically there. Your integrity, your gentle words, your refusal to join in the gossip — all of it carries a weight you may never see directly, but I see it.

Keep being salt and light at your work, even when it feels lonely to be different. That is exactly where your purpose is being lived out, even without a badge that says so.
