Word of the Father · Day 32/366
When the Road Is Dark
“Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.”
Proverbs 3:5-6
My son, my daughter, I know you're walking down a dark hallway right now, hand on the wall, unable to see what's beyond the next turn. You wanted a whole map, you wanted to see the end before taking the first step. But I never promised to show you the entire path all at once. I promised to go ahead of you.
You don't need to understand every detail of your life to trust me. Human understanding has its limits, and that's exactly where faith begins to matter. When you stop leaning only on what you can calculate and start leaning on me, I straighten the path — not the way you imagined, but the way that's good for you.
Today I ask only one thing of you: take the next step. Just that one. I'll take care of the rest of the hallway.
