A Heart That Still Knows How to Give
“Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom.”
Luke 6:38
Hard times taught you to hold on tighter to the little you have — your time, your money, even the attention you give people. You're afraid that if you give, there won't be enough left over for you afterward. That's a very human reaction, and I understand perfectly that caution born out of scarcity you've lived through.
But I want to start over in you the habit of an open heart, even in the middle of financial or emotional strain. I'm not talking about giving what you don't have, or putting yourself at risk. I'm talking about not letting fear close your hand completely around everything. A generous heart isn't born from leftover abundance — it's born from trusting that I am the one who truly sustains you, not your reserves locked away under seven keys.
Start small today: one gesture of generosity, even if it seems insignificant in your own eyes. I multiply what is given with genuine love. And in the end, you'll discover that it's in giving that you receive so much more than you ever imagined.
