Word of the Father · Day 36/366

Those Who Wait Renew Their Strength

But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

Isaiah 40:31

My son, my daughter, I know waiting is the hardest part of all. It's easier to act, to fix things, to chase after them — than to stand still, waiting on a timing I haven't revealed yet. You wish this waiting had already ended yesterday.

But listen: waiting on me isn't standing still with no purpose. It's a kind of strength being built on the inside, quietly, even while you see nothing changing on the outside. Every day you keep trusting, without giving up, without forcing the door open before its time, I am trading your exhaustion for fresh strength — the way an eagle molts its old feathers.

You won't wait forever. But the time you're waiting through right now isn't wasted: it's the time I use to strengthen what in you was still too weak to carry what comes next.
