Word of the Father · Day 102/366
Behold, I Make All Things New
“Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.”
Isaiah 43:18-19
I know you're still carrying the weight of what's behind you — the mistake you made, the chance you missed, the time you feel you wasted while everyone around you seemed to move ahead faster. You look at your past and use it as a ruler to measure whether you deserve a better future from here on.
But I tell you today, with a certainty only I can give: don't stay stuck back there, reliving what can no longer be changed. I am doing a new thing, and it's already on its way this very moment, even if you don't see any sign of it yet. Where it looks like a lifeless desert, I open a way. Where it looks dry and dead, I make a river of living water spring up.
Let go of what has already passed. Not because it didn't hurt, or because it was easy — I know it wasn't. But because I have something new set aside especially for you, and that something doesn't fit in the hands of someone still gripping yesterday too tightly, too afraid to let go.
