Word of the Father · Day 107/366
The Change That Frightens and Calls
“I will not fail thee, nor forsake thee. Be strong and of a good courage.”
Joshua 1:5-6
I know this change standing before you mixes desire with fear, hope with a tightness in your chest. A new city, a different job, a season that demands leaving behind what was already familiar, even if it was uncomfortable, even if it no longer made sense to keep going the way things were.
Joshua also trembled before the unknown, crossing into a land he had never set foot on, full of people and giants he didn't know. And I told him exactly what I'm telling you now, without changing a word: I will not fail you, nor forsake you in this new territory. So, be strong, be of good courage, even with your legs trembling on the inside.
New territory is frightening because you don't yet know every corner, every face, every rule of the game. But I already know every inch of it, every detail still waiting to surprise you, and I am going ahead of you, preparing the way. You are not crossing into any place where I haven't already arrived before you.
