A Fresh Start After Losing Your Job
“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.”
Jeremiah 29:11
I know the shock of hearing 'you're let go' after years of hard work. I know how your identity wavers when the title, the badge, the routine that defined you simply end from one hour to the next. Losing a job shakes far more than your bank account — it shakes who you think you are.
My son, my daughter, I was not caught off guard by this news. While you were reading that email or hearing that call, I already held thoughts of peace over your future, not thoughts of harm. That doesn't mean the pain you feel now isn't real — it means it isn't the ending of the story I wrote for you.
Use this time between chapters to breathe, to seek my direction before the next door opens, and trust that I already see the ending you can't yet see. Don't rush to accept the first offer just out of fear of the empty space; wait with me for the right door.
