Word of the Father · Day 140/366

New life after divorce

Behold, I make all things new.

Revelation 21:5

I know the emptiness that's left after a marriage ends. The bed with only one side used, the ring kept in a drawer, the question of who you are now that you're no longer 'we.' Divorce carries a grief that few people understand from the outside, and I won't rush you to 'move on' before it's time.

But I want to tell you something as you walk through this valley: I specialize in making things new. I don't just fix what is broken — sometimes I build something different from scratch, with pieces that seemed useless. Your life didn't end where that marriage ended.

I don't know how long this pain will take to turn from an open wound into a scar. But I know you won't walk through this fresh start alone, and I know that 'new' to me doesn't mean a poorly done patch job — it means a finished work, made with care, in the right time. Let me take care of the pieces that are left; I have more than enough experience turning endings into beginnings.
