Word of the Father · Day 137/366

No condemnation over you

There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

Romans 8:1

I hear the voice that accuses you in the middle of the night. The one that brings up your old mistakes right when you're trying to sleep in peace, that calls you a failure, that reopens wounds I already closed. That voice is not mine. I am not going back over your list of mistakes to condemn you again every night.

In Christ, there is no condemnation for you. None. It's not 'a little condemnation' or 'mild condemnation' — it's none. The verdict is already in, and it's in your favor, because it was Christ who paid what you were meant to pay. The accusing voice that insists on prosecuting you again is arguing with a sentence I already closed.

Next time that voice comes in the middle of the night, answer it with this truth: I have already been judged, I have already been acquitted, and the judge was my own Father. There is no appeal against that sentence.
