Word of the Father · Day 185/366
Starting Over After Betrayal
“Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.”
Psalm 51:10
Come here. I know exactly what that betrayal did to you, the extent of the damage inside. It wasn't just the lie that hurt, it was your whole trust that collapsed along with it, sweeping away your confidence that you knew how to see the people around you clearly. And now you look at people with your guard up, examining every gesture, even with Me, sometimes, without even realizing it.
I haven't come to ask you to trust again the one who hurt you — that's not My request today. I've come to offer you something else, far greater: a new heart, without the marks of bitterness that story tried to leave etched in you. It's not about pretending nothing happened, or erasing the memory. It's about letting Me clean out what's left of the poison inside, little by little.
You don't have to start over alone, patching up your heart with your own hands that are already too wounded for that work. I recreate. I restore the ability to trust, to love without total armor, in your time, without forcing anything. This is My work, not yours, and I won't give up on it.
