Word of the Father · Day 178/366
Your Prayer Carries More Weight Than You Think
“Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.”
James 5:16
I want you to understand the weight your prayer carries, even when it feels small, even when you yourself doubt whether it's good for anything. You don't have to be perfect to pray with power — you only need to walk with me with a sincere heart, seeking to do what's right, even if you stumble sometimes.
Many people underestimate their own request, thinking that only the prayers of people who are 'holy enough' actually work. But I look at the heart, not the religious résumé. The mother praying for her son far away, the friend praying for another who is sick, you praying over this month's bills — all of it has an effect, because it comes from someone who seeks to walk with me.
Today, don't lose heart over your own prayer. It has more strength than you imagine, because it doesn't depend on your perfection — it depends on my faithfulness to hear whoever comes near me with an open heart.
