Word of the Father · Day 53/366
When Friends Disappear
“A friend loveth at all times, and a brother is born for adversity.”
Proverbs 17:17
You counted on those people — you thought that in the hard moment, they'd be there. But when the anguish came, the calls stopped, the messages went unanswered, and you realized, with a heavy heart, that you were more alone than you thought.
I know how much it hurts to find out who really stays. Not every friendship survives the test of hard times, and that's not your fault, nor does it mean you don't deserve to be loved well. I saw every missed connection, every silence that hurt more than any harsh word.
I am the friend who loves at all times, including on the days when no one else shows up. And I am also carefully preparing the right people to walk alongside you — people who will stay when anguish comes knocking. In the meantime, rest knowing that I will never disappear the way others have disappeared.
