Word of the Father · Day 342/366

When Prayer Feels Like Silence

Men ought always to pray, and not to faint.

Luke 18:1

My son, My daughter, I know you've lost count of how many times you've asked for the same thing, and heaven seemed made of stone. You prayed with faith at first, then with doubt, and today you pray almost out of habit, without expecting much. That silence has hurt more than you tell anyone.

But I hear every prayer of yours, even the tired ones, even the repeated ones. The silence you feel is not My absence; many times it is the time I use to prepare an answer greater than what you're asking for now. I do not ignore those who persist in seeking Me, even without understanding.

Do not faint in prayer. Keep bringing the same request, however you can, even tired, even feeling nothing. I never tire of hearing you, and the day you see My answer, you will understand why the silence had to last this long.
