Word of the Father · Day 14/366
The Land I Don't Know Yet
“Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father's house, unto a land that I will shew thee.”
Genesis 12:1
Everything changed all at once: new house, new city, new routine, new people around you that you don't really know yet. You feel the ground shifting under your feet and wonder, at night, if you really made the right choice. The old landmarks have disappeared from the map, and the new ones haven't shown up yet to steady you.
I called Abraham to leave his land without showing him the whole map of the journey. He only knew the first step, and that was enough. That's often how I lead my children: I reveal just enough for you to take today's step, not the entire journey at once, because you wouldn't be able to carry that much information yet anyway.
If you're in a land you don't know well, know that I am already there, ahead of you, preparing the ground before you even arrive. The uncertainty of this change doesn't mean you took the wrong path or made the wrong decision. It simply means you're learning, in real time, to trust me more than what used to feel familiar and safe.
