Hope When the Answer Doesn't Come
“But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.”
Isaiah 40:31
It's been months of résumés sent, interviews given, silence received. Every promised callback that never came was a small blow to your confidence. I see the weariness of continuing to try without seeing a door open, and I see the fear of counting off one more month without an answer to the ones waiting for you at home.
Waiting on me isn't standing still expecting something to fall from the sky. It's continuing to walk, to knock, to seek, while resting in the process, without letting the delay turn into despair. An eagle doesn't flap its wings the whole time — it finds the current of wind and rises without growing weary, because it has learned to trust a strength that isn't only its own.
I haven't forgotten you, and I haven't forgotten the bill due on the fifth. I'm working on doors you haven't even seen yet, arranging meetings that are still going to happen. In the meantime, let me renew your strength today, so you can keep trying with dignity, without losing who you are in the midst of the search.
