The verses around Psalms 121:8.
6The sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night.
7The Lord shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul.
8The Lord shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore.
Verse explanation
“Going out and coming in” was a common expression for all of daily activity. Promising protection over that, for ever, guarantees care both on the way there and the way back from the pilgrimage, and beyond it.
From the Psalms 121 study in Bible in Stories.
