Day 83 — Mornings with God
Blessing Him Every Day
“Every day will I bless thee; and I will praise thy name for ever and ever.”
Psalm 145:2
Every day. Not just the good ones. Not just when a prayer was answered the way you hoped. Every day — the ordinary ones, the hard ones, the beautiful ones, the ones you barely made it through.
David made an extravagant promise: every day I will bless You. It was a choice, not a feeling. Because feelings shift, but the choice to bless God's name can stay constant.
Blessing here means recognizing who He is, declaring His greatness out loud or deep in your heart. It isn't an obligatory ritual. It's the response of someone who has come to know God and simply can't stay silent.
And David's promise goes beyond today: forever and ever. That reminds us this life is only the beginning. Every morning you dedicate to God is a rehearsal for an eternity of praise.
Today, bless God. Even if your voice breaks. Even if the words don't come out perfectly. Every day is an opportunity.
Prayer
Lord, I bless You today. Not because I deserve to, not because everything is fine — but because You are worthy, every single day, without exception. May my praise be constant. Amen.
