Day 82 — Mornings with God
From Sunrise to Sunset
“From the rising of the sun unto the going down of the same the LORD'S name is to be praised.”
Psalm 113:3
From sunrise to sunset. From the first ray of light to the close of day. Praise covers it all, leaving no hour out. It's almost as if the sun itself were a daily invitation to recognize God's greatness.
You woke up today. The sun rose — or is trying to break through the clouds — and that alone is reason enough to praise. Not because everything is perfect. Because God gave you one more day, and a day is a great deal.
There are cultures that greet the morning with gratitude before any other word. Before good morning to a spouse, before calling a daughter, before looking at the to-do list — a moment to recognize: I am here, God is here, and that is enough to praise Him for.
Today, from sunrise to sunset, may the name of the Lord be praised — in your mouth, in your heart, in your choices, in the way you treat people. Your whole life can be an act of praise.
Prayer
Father, may this whole day be an act of praise to Your name. May my words, my actions, my thoughts glorify You — from sunrise to sunset. Amen.
